Plumbing Issue Resolved - Feb 24, 2025

Dear St. Francis Xavier School families,

I am pleased to inform you that the plumbing issue affecting our school building has been successfully resolved. Thanks to the diligent work of the division maintenance team, all facilities are fully operational, and school will be back in session tomorrow, Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation during today’s student pick-ups and look forward to welcoming staff and students back tomorrow!

St. Francis Xavier School families,

There has been an unexpected issue affecting the plumbing within our school building which requires the cancellation of school for the remainder of the day today. This impacts the entire facility's overall operations and washroom use within the building. Please know that your child is safe at school right now, however, we are requesting the pick-up of your child as soon as possible.

While the division maintenance team is working to fix the problem, it is in the best interest of students to be picked up as washroom facilities are not available at this time. Students who are not able to be picked up will be able to use the facilities at Monsignor McCoy in groups with a staff member. Pick-ups can be done through the front office. 

At this time we are not sure if the issue will be resolved today, please note that a follow-up communication will be sent with details later on this afternoon. 

We appreciate your understanding as we deal with this unforeseen matter. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. Thank you again for your support and cooperation!
